I'm good enough in this moment with you
Whether or not you are real
Because this is for me.
The streetlight shines for me,
Running cold light down your jaw
pooling on your familiar lips
dripping off your chin
like the words, falling,
melting off of your tongue.
Pulling sound from low in your throat.
Moments slip by, tainted
by the knowing of good and evil
The disasterous knowledge, ever present fact
That the ever-present, is only just.
Each second is mourned.
Value is undermined by inpermenance
Loss, at the only real time
We truly posess the moment.
Because we know, even in our ecstasy
That for good, or for evil
It will be gone in the next beat.
Loss, in the only moment good enough
for me.
When I have you and so
You are real.
